Don’t miss Elvis McGonagall, Rachel Pantechnicon and Bournemouth’s Freeway poets at Beach & Barnicott’s Open Mic poetry night on Weds 20th June from 7.30pm.
Hosted by the flamboyant and hilarious Elvis McGonagall, a regular contributor to Radio 4 Saturday Live and the Edinburgh Fringe, the Open Mic night is a popular event giving local poets the opportunity to perform alongside established professional poets.

Rachel Pantechnicon, described as a work of comic genius, specialises in motivational poems for cats and people.
Winner of the 2004 Glastonbury Festival Poetry slam and author of the well known story books about Cheesegrater Leg-Iron Lion, Rachel has been broadcast on Radio 1, 3 and 4 and is still holding out for Radio 2.
Bournemouth’s Freeway Poets will also be performing on the evening.
Entrance is £5 for audience and £3 for performers.
