Would you like to learn how to keep bees? Fancy doing a weekend course on June 21st – 23rd, and only paying £75 instead of £225? And it’s with David Wiscombe, nationally known apiarist, who has 50 years experience, and features regularly on TV. Well now is your chance!
Monkton Wyld Court, near Charmouth, is running the course. Rachel, from Symondsbury, went on the Beekeeping Course at Monkton Wyld last year. She said “It was a great balance between lots of hands-on experience, and a thorough grounding in technical info”.
The course has European Funding through a local organisation called Skills for Self Reliance (S4SR). Anyone over 16 can apply. The aim of Skills for Self Reliance is to help make local businesses more sustainable, by providing local people with training in a wide range of self-reliance skills.
