Dorset’s “On The Bus” Festival have today announced the first wave of acts for this years festival which takes place near Corfe Castle in August. Welsh rappers, Goldie Lookin Chain, will headline the 400 capacity event, which is already in its forth year.
Dorset’s finest (and self-proclaimed Kings of Cow Punk) Pronghorn will be taking to the stage whilst the highly rated Ed Cox will be bringing his unique “Clowncore” style of music, where he fuses ska, jungle and breakcore.
Taking place from 7th – 9th August, the festival will host over 80 hours of DJ’s curated by Bournemouth’s top club-nights and leading the way will be the hugely popular 90’s electronic duo Bentley Rhythm Ace.
Also confirmed to play the mid-summer bash are the hotly tipped trip-hop/soul act BOMBS and Bournemouth’s own folk/punkers The Jack Ratts. More announcements are planned for the coming weeks and festival organiser, Bert Burnell, said, “Everybody at On The Bus has been working extremely hard behind the scenes to make this our best year to date and we’re so excited to welcome Goldie Lookin Chain to Dorset. We have plenty more announcements to come and we’re confident that people across the south are going to love what we’ve got planned”.
