Bridport Volcano

Smoke and ash continues to spew forth from the Comers Hill eruption causing widespread disruption to holidaymakers travelling through Chideock and the Marshwood Vale. Three vehicles queued for 8 minutes as visibility on the A35 trunk road was reduced by clouds of acrid volcanic chunder.

Iceland Sends Ash, But Still No Cash

The eruption  from the Bridport Volcano continues to wreak havoc as a woman from Chideock was stranded in Charmouth for 45 minutes after trying to cross the road to get  to the Spar shop.”The worst of it was that when I eventually got home I had purchased Shredded Wheat instead of my usual Raisin Bran, because of this Vesuvial effluvium I don’t know when the next eruption will be.”

Tourists were advised to make other plans by local dairy farmer Rick Avick who refused to be named, ” I put 300 of my finest milking Freisians out to pasture this morning and this volcanic ash has clogged their jets. Tis good for the soil though” he added. When questioned about what jets he was talking about Mr Avick replied “You don’t come from round here do you?”

In other news… Iceland continues to send us tons of ash but still no cash.

Local Legend Livid as Livelihood turns to Lava!

Local photographer Lord Colmer Cheeseton of Chideock warned that time as we know it could cease to exist without his daily documentary calenderical compilation which relies heavily on this hill.
