Local comedians to join circuit pros at first BAC comedy café
COMEDY professionals and emerging new acts will be joined by local comedians at the first Bridport Arts Centre Comedy Café night.
Bridport’s own Gary Ball will perform one-liners as his alter ego “Barry Barking” and fellow local resident Paul Siebenthal will be sharing his tales of life in the countryside, fresh from completing London’s renowned Amused Moose stand up course.
Joining them on the night will be 14-year-old Beaminster schoolboy Rex Fisher, who gives his own unique take on teenage life.
Experienced new acts, Sherborne’s Jason Manly and Bournemouth’s Mike Bilham, will complete the line up supporting the evening’s headliner, high octane musical comedian Ashley Frieze. Fresh from the Edinburgh Comedy Festival Ashley will be sharing songs from his solo show, The Seven Deadly Sings.
Guiding the audience through the night’s entertainment will be resident compere and another Bridport resident, Tom Glover.
Tom has performed more than 40 gigs around the UK, since starting out last October, and was a winner at the Swanage Comedy Festival open mic competition earlier this year.
