Fanny’s Parlour

Enjoy a seasonal supper around the refectory table, then retire to the comfort of the Parlour to enjoy the evenings musical talent. Taking place at a secret location! Limited numbers so tickets only and directions given on purchase,Thursday November 22nd 7.30pm

I am very pleased to welcome Dan Dickinson who will be performing a rare acoustic set, looking  into the folk roots of his successful  indie rock ‘n’ roll band ‘The Little Victory’ who will be touring in the new year with their new E.P ‘The Dance of the Absurd’.

Dan’s original lyrics, sometimes romantic, sometimes rousingly political are accompanied by accomplished guitar playing and delivered  with a self effacing charm that would out do even the coolest of sleeping cats.

I am also delighted to welcome to the west  “The Burning Glass” who I met at The Bimble Bandada festival this summer. They will be playing double bass, harmonium, ukulele and performing tongue twisting lyrics to catchy tunes, all wrapped up with vocal harmonies and the intoxicating and cheery sounds of the clarinet.

Edwin Brooks turns complex and witty word play into poetry which he sets to music; could he be spending too much time alone weeding round the curly kale joined only by his genius muse ? Whatever his secret, I love it because it makes me smile.
