Washingpool Farm Shop in Bridport is holding a Big Bridport Burns Breakfast Tasting on Wednesday, 25th January to celebrate Farmhouse Breakfast Week 2012. A variety of delicious products, perfect to start your day, will be available to sample.
Farmhouse Breakfast Week is an annual campaign run by HGCA, which has been running since 2000. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast and demonstrate the variety of breakfast foods available in the UK. The theme for the campaign is “Shake Up Your Wake Up” – make small changes to your morning routine to make sure you have time for breakfast every day.
Producers attending the event at Washingpool Farm include Denhay Bacon, Evershot Bakery, The Gilded Teapot with their exceptional teas, Four Seasons Preserves and Midfields Granola, and Washingpool’s own sausages will also be available for tasting. The event will run from 11am – 1pm, and will include the traditional piping in of the haggis by Norman Ford, in full, traditional Scottish dress. Norman has been playing the bagpipes for 35 years, and plays every Wednesday night at the Wyndham Arms in Kentisbeare, East Devon, along with up to six others. They are the best in the West!
