An illustrated talk by Captain Peter Chapman-Andrews LVO MBE Royal Navy, Director of the Royal Institute of Navigation.

Peter will talk about his time navigating HMY BRITANNIA and HMS ARK ROYAL.
Born and bred in Bridport, Peter was educated at Colfox School. He joined the Royal Navy through Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in 1967. During his 37-year Naval career he served in several ships including command of the Hong Kong Patrol Vessel HMS MONKTON. As a navigation specialist the ships he navigated included HMS ARK ROYAL and HMY ROYAL BRITANNIA. He joined the Royal Institute of Navigation in 1986, where he was elected Fellow in 2003 and was appointed Director on New Year’s Day 2010.
The evening will include a silent auction of marine paintings and prints
