FREE Radio Training Sessions at Bridport Arts Centre in the Easter Holidays
There will be 3 days of FREE radio programme making training at Bridport Arts Centre for young people aged 15 to 25 next week and the work created could well end up on the radio!
The sessions will be held on Monday 2, Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 April and are part of the Bridport FM Community Radio project.
The project offers free training in all aspects of making radio programmes to people in the Bridport area. Bridport FM is planning to broadcast from Bridport Arts Centre for a week later this year.
Sessions will be led by Debra Hearne and Georgie Green from Windrose Rural Media Trust and run from 11am to 3pm daily in the arts centre cafe.
Participants will learn how to use the digital recording equipment, make vox pop recordings in the street and learn how to research and record longer interviews. They will spend 2 days practising on each other and then on Thursday they will have the chance to interview older people from the Bridport area about their war time experiences and memories.
No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome to come along. Please email Kate Wilson, the BAC Learning Coordinator to be added to the list of participants. E: kate@bridport-arts.com
