The 2011 Black Buoy Cup Sea Race will take place on Sunday 11th September at 3.45pm from West Beach, West Bay, Bridport. The race is a ‘Bridport mile’ (1200 metres) from a standing start on the beach to a marker buoy and back again. Entrants must be competent swimmers, able to swim 2000 metres (60 lengths) and should be local residents of Bridport and surrounding villages or a member of local Bridport Swimming Clubs. The Minimum age for participants is 14 years of age on the 4th September

As the race is weather dependent, alternative dates for the event are the 11th September at 3.45pm and the 18th September at 1.30pm.
