I went to the Food festival on Sunday, and one of my party happened to mention to someone in the tent that I was "Realworld" from the Bridport Radio website. Within a few minutes, what can only be described as a drunken rabble led by a chap in red tartan trousers and wearing a red Pays de Basques hat harangued me for my views. I was basically chased out of the Food festival. I am therefore resigning from Bridport Radio I am cancelling my account and I will not return. I am also thinking very seriously of selling my home in Bridport. The behaviour of these people was deplorable. You know who you are – you are a disgrace to the town.
Real World
RealWorld first stirred up the natives by his comments on this article www.bridportradio.co.uk/content/view/608/ -Ed

Are you ‘Doing A Flounce’ Real World? Do you want us all to plead with you not to leave? What is a ‘Rabbeled’ please?
HA! Perhaps if you sell you house at a HUGE loss, you may JUST about be forgiven….! Actually…no, you are unforgiveable and deserve everything you got. GOOD RIDDANCE.
Do you need any help packing?
I don’t like bullying in any form and in any discussion, online or in the Real-World as I believe the topic is the issue and not the person, but if you were to re-read all the very personal attacks you have made in here against people you don’t know then are you really surprised you had such a bad time when your Cover Was Blown ?
I was attending the food fayre, I noticed no rabble, led or otherwise, I noticed no marauding mobs. (and no one called carlito bought me a beverage) My advice to you real world would have been to keep your trap shut and told your mates to do the same, however, (and this is going to hurt because I have to defend you) you are entitled to your views and to be able to air them on a website, such as this, without fear of having to defend them from an unruly crowd of haranguers, other than from the privacy of your own keyboard. If what you say is true and you were indeed “”””run out of town”””” then the people involved are complete morons with no idea of the boundary between anonymous cyber space and (if you excuse the pun) the real world. I am genuinely disturbed by their behaviour and unsure as to my continued involvement with them.
and they are grunting in numbers on this thread
Did I miss zummat?
No, the Tartan trousered fellow was not me.
Come on then King of the Grunts.. (in your tartan trousers) take your bow! or did it all appear not such a good idea when you woke up this morning? so reassuring to hear that morning does not love it (bullying) or rather being seen to be a bully (the more likely case)
I’m hoping that you are exaggerating Real World and these happenings didn’t happen. We like to feel safe in Cyberland and can hide behind our supposed anonymity and things are ‘said’ that perhaps wouldn’t be said in a face-to-face situation. If what you say is true I feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.
Am I on The Abuse A Member board?
Real World, if i had been at the food fare, (which incidentally is put on for our visitors in the hope they will spend their exorbitant salaries on our local produce) i would have made sure somebody or something had fallen/trodden on your fingers, and the reason is twofold, one, it would stop you typing rubbish to this website, and two, it might stop you playing with yourself the rest of the day, nuff said, just go away and bury your head, preferably up you backside, you are oh so boring
I don’t believe a word of realworld’s story. A drunken rabble would constitute a crowd and it’s clear from the pictures of the event on this website that no one turned up to this little event apart from the traders and their kids. As for the bloke in the red tartan trousers this image is obviously a figment of realworld’s imagination. Probably representing his suppressed fear of meeting people within a real live situation. The tartan probably embodies his desire to be different and the colour red is synomymous with the emotion of anger. The idea of a rabble lead by these characteristics AKA the red tartan trousered bloke, is a symbol of realworld’s deepest fears and anxieties surrounding his lack of confidence and inability to interact with anyone apart from individuals posting on websites.
Now there’s some GREAT NEWS!!! …and to the bloke in the tartan troos i say WELL DONE!! for airing your views- which were no doubt the views of most of us,…but too much for him to take. I also commend you for resisting the urge to ‘punch the git’ -as no doubt came the chants around you. realworld says he was ‘basically chased out of the food festival’…was he running? did they have pitchforks?? My guess is he soiled himself when he realised the people he’d been anonymously abusing over the last few months were probably all around him. For the record, i was there for a good few hours and saw nothing at all… would’ve loved to meet most of you but could’nt bring myself to wear the badge …i like the annonymity and i rekon by the fact i saw no-one else wearing one, you do too. Hey realworld, don’t forget your dog!
Hmm I think Mr The Bat maybe on to something, I think RealWorld may well be fibbing, if only to come back in another guise, perhaps he still walks among us but is now called…?
Look If my post had actually MADE it to this page then you would all have been enlightened as to the ACTUAL meaning behind this article. Missing posts? nowt to do with me – Ed Anyway – This is an obvious experiment conducted by Realworld to see how many of us MUGS would actually a) believe it, b) sympathise with him or c) continue to mercilessly slag him off. He has obviously been posting here for a while (possibly even from the very beginning) under another username. I would tell you ALL who it is, but it’s too fun watching everyone trying to guess…. Ha HAAA!
are you suggesting tuzo is actually his alterego??? and only created so he would have an ally???…its all becoming so clear now, -but, i was convinced that tuzo’s female. realworld are you a cybertranny? C’mon, you can tell us…come out, come out!
Bye “”””realworld””””,but befor you go can i buy your house off you. I’ll give you a couple of pounds for it. It will make a nice couple of houses for our local first time buyers. As you want to go quick it a buyers market and our local youngsters can’t afford much.Beggers can’t be choosers. byeeeeeeeeee
no such luck…..(S.S. 17.)
I too am convinced Tuzo is female, please God she is fit.
I was most concernned to hear a description of what most certainly sounds like me, being accused of harranging somone out of tent and town. This is my first experience here on line on Bridport Radio to clarify that that I was nowhere near bridport food festival I had no mob with me. I was in fact at a fund raising event at Nether Cerne near the Cerne Giant raising funds for the local church and a project teaching local people in Brazil to protect and sustain their local environment.(it is a global issue as well as local) If I may say to this realworldy whoever you are offline ,you may know exactly who I am and therefore know I could well easily be blackballed with such an offence, however In a strange way that individuallity I hold gives me some what of a public office which I have to take very carefully as this example expresses in your accusations (alleged)I am an easy target for people. It is true to say I do have what can be deemed as social political views who wouldnt in this utterly unsustainable social slave economy we all have to live in. But what you have stated is untrue
Last night I met a man wearing tartan trousers and a Pays de Basque hat, who assured me he was not at the food festival berating Real World and I believe him. Real World, you lie and what is worse you have named this local man as your scapegoat. Good riddance you contemptable fool.
okay tuzo, i believe you… …just read your ad in the classifieds, (and i have to say if that your portrait is well tasty!) I guess you realised realworld was lying to you TOO all this time…and now you feel like ‘Getting the Grunt on’ with one of us lot. Best of luck, no really. xxx
I’d like to thank my Mum and my Dad and Rimmel and all my friends (face crumpling in emotion – regaining compusure) for voting me Fourth, equal with Ooargh, as The Wearer Of The Tartan Trousers. I’ve never been Fourth in anything. Life is looking good.
I have been voting for myself and am now in 2nd plurce.
Poll
I’ve unpublished the poll as I’ve now established who it was wearing the tartan trousers and that he did not harangue Real world at the food festi, although he’s obviously ticked him off at some point.
well i am flattered (ss 23) in a sort of perverse way i guess. I too have a mental image of all of you, and a vague idea who some of you are too. has anyone answered one of these personal ads? I did once a few years ago. Did it on a whim, after too much to drink..left my number (bitterly regretting it the next morning) However.. i met the person (in the George) and we had a few other meetings.. sort of fizzled out… But I would recommend the experience, it was strange, and slightly exhilarating….i think better to be the chooser than the chosen though. my pic/ primitive naive school i think? and your pics/ probably a Hieronymus Bosch would be a good likeness of some of you?
Was it that idiot off The Bay City Rollers?
Where has the abuse a member link gone?? Get it sorted Ed you loafer. As I can’t find the thread here will have to do, lets face it realworld is yesterday’s man and good riddance to the ponce. Has anyone else read the article of spirit combat?? Unless I have this wrong it is a combination of Philosophy, Yoga, meditation, getting in harmony with the world and environment and then kicking the shite out of somebody. Is someone “”””avin a laaarf””””? Secondly and probably more importantly, what has it got to do with Bridport? did it say in the article we are to become the new world centre for this ancient (well nearly 10 years old) way of learning to punch and kick people.
Try using the search facility or look on the “”””…and another thing”””” menu item. BTW Realworlds last log in was two days ago… and Spirit Combat are BridportRadios friends. So there_Ed
BYE, BYE Realworld. You will be missed. By who, i have no idea though !!
(By Andy Head) Simmering blood
The thing I like about you Realworld is that you really tweak my pity glands. Just when Bridport Radio settles into a happy consensus along you come with your standpoint of plain wrongness and argue so persuasively from it. A man after my own heart, but wrong nonetheless. To use your own opinions as a start point in your “talking cure”. New blood has always been welcomed in Bridport, I’m some of it and have gradually become woven into the curvy bits of Bridport’s rich tapestry. All that guff you’ve written, though eloquent, is well…. Wrong. You don’t have to live in suburbs and travel 1 1/2 to work, you choose to. Seems like a wrong choice to me. Change it for something better and you might just be a little less convinced that it’s a sane perspective to write from. Without second home owners, more people would live, work, shop and contribute here. Cash cow versus stray dog. Without tourists it wouldn’t be Bridport. Free entertainment, lots of daytime disposable cash and back to their own reservations for night-time drinking. Lovely. The truth is H-FW let the cat out of the bag, upset the apple-cart and pimped out the profile of a self-propelling region for personal gain. We’re not in a hurry! If we could be bothered to form a movement it’s battle cry would be: “ What do want?! – Gradual change! – When do we want it?! – In due course.” Haven’t you twigged yet? Modern life is rubbish. Hugh’s television success has inevitably attracted people who watch too much TV. Instead of sniping and complaining encourage the young to squat the empty properties and second homes, you can bet the provision of affordable housing would shoot up the agenda – and just imagine the parties we could have ;-). Look at St Ives…Why? I like it here. The town is a prosperous and energetic place, it just does it slowly. You should try living here, you probably be in less of hurry to mess it all up with improvements. Look forward to more entertaining wrong from your moist keyboard at a future date. I’ll be thinking of your 1 1/2 hour commute during my leisurely breakfast and bath time coffee.
real world
“”real world”” is a security firm… or so the gates to Gundrys place tell me, as I wandered out of the sun to text someone…I kinda miss the guy, wonder what happened to him? St Ives is lovely indeed home of the Leaches, and interesting history.
