Dear listener, in this great time of We-are-all-in-this-together-ness (although some are more in than others Ed.) I spotted this road sweeper crawling along a seldom used country lane East of Bridport and struggled to see the benefit in sweeping this rural bye-way, the very modern looking lorry was actually using it’s brushes to sweep the verges of the lane at approximately 3 miles an hour.
Then it hit me, (not the truck), but the fact that at great expense to the Dorset taxpayer, this maintenance vehicle was sweeping a muddy country lane and in some cruel twist of irony was followed shortly after by a tractor flicking mud from it’s wheels and going about it’s very important daily business. Now we are not asking for your opinions on the farmers off site muckspreading, so don’t.
Well my dear listener, this to me appears to be a complete waste of taxpayers money and so we move on to the big question:
Q: Have you seen any recent blatant waste of Dorset taxpayers money and resources?
Please let us know, we will publish the results here on this public portal, photographic evidence would be appreciated to back up your story.

Wasters
The road sweeping machine that noisily chases a stray toffee wrapper up and down the pavements of Bridport at some ungodly hour is a complete waste of money. That half paralysed bloke who used to push a broom around was far more efficient.
Don’t mention the war
Have you ever thought about the costs of the Afghan involvement. so, as long there is money for this kind of “Armed Tourism”, all they try to impose on the home front is PEANUTS.
